Acceptable Use Policy

Your Responsibilities

CLK2DO includes a number of community features, such as profiles, forums, blogs and comments. By participating in these aspects of the site, you indicate your acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

As a user of CLK2DO you agree to:

• Not use CLK2DO for anything else other than for the purposes of teaching, learning and research.
• Not use CLK2DO for personal commercial use, for example marketing.
• Not use CLK2DO for uploading, storing, viewing or transmitting any material which is (or may be considered to be) defamatory, inflammatory, discriminatory, obscene or offensive.
• Not misrepresent your school or bring it into disrepute in any way through the use of the CLK2DO.
• Be responsible for moderating discussion forums which you may have created.
• Always act in a professional manner. Be polite and courteous to others when using CLK2DO. CLK2DO is not to be used to libel or harass any other persons.
• Not use CLK2DO to post copyright material, unless the copyright is owned by you.
• Look after your own username and password. Do not share your password or logon identity with anyone else and do not use the username and password of other users.
• Keep physical access to CLK2DO secure. For example, do not login to CLK2DO and then leave your computer unattended.
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of CLK2DO.
• Not post material which contains viruses or other programs which may disrupt the system.
• Not upload private, confidential or sensitive material.
• Understand that Invest NI and CCEA will not be held responsible for any loss of information, which has been posted on CLK2DO, once users cease to be formally associated with their school.
• Invest NI and CCEA reserve the right to reuse content posted within any area of CLK2DO, with due credit made to the content originator.
• Be solely responsible for any content that they post on the site, and as a user of this service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCEA and Invest NI and employees with respect to any claim based upon transmission of such content.

Reporting abuse and offence 

If you feel that any content posted on the site is objectionable, please use the ‘Report Abuse’ link or contact us immediately by email. We will make every effort to remove such content within a reasonable time frame if we determine that removal is necessary.

Data Protection

Your Permission

By agreeing to the following Data Protection Statement, you are giving your permission to Invest NI and CCEA to process your personal data via CLK2DO for the purposes of teaching, learning and research.

• Invest NI and CCEA are not responsible for any user-generated content, but reserve the right to delete or edit any such content at any time, without prior warning, should this become necessary (for example, if we receive and uphold complaints from other users who consider such content offensive).
• Individuals remain solely responsible for any content that they post on the site, and as a user of this service, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCEA and Invest NI and employees with respect to any claim based upon transmission of such content.
• Invest NI and CCEA reserve the right to reveal the identity and any other details we may hold about a user in the event of any complaint or legal action arising from content posted on the site by that user.
• Invest NI and CCEA reserve the right to reuse content posted within any area of CLK2DO, with due credit made to the content originator.

The information we will collect about you

CLK2DO will collect your name and email address. The personal data collected will be adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purposes stated above.

Cookies

In order to use CLK2DO you must have ‘cookies enabled’ on your web browser.  By agreeing to this Data Protection Statement, you agree to allow certain information about you to be collected.

We collect your information by cookies. Cookies are small file structures used by CLK2DO to ‘request’ information from the computer which you are using. This information is then returned to CLK2DO and stored. The types of information we collect may include usage statistics, for example when users last logged into the system, when they accessed certain activities, or when they uploaded their assignments.

We use this information to help improve CLK2DO services by ensuring that the material and content of the courses match with the users’ requirement and also to make sure users are not having problems with access. The usage statistics are visible to CLK2DO administrators and may be visible to your teachers and, where applicable, authorised users from your employer’s organisation.

Who will have access to your information?

Fellow pupils in your school and authorised persons in Invest NI and CCEA will have access to your name, your profile and any discussion or blog comments you make. You, your teacher and your fellow pupils will be able to view each others’ profiles.
